About Bredhurst Juniors

Bredhurst Juniors Football club was founded in 1991 by a group of dads who’s football crazy 5 to 7 year olds were finding it difficult to play organised football in the Medway area football only being available for under 10s.

The dads organised training at Bredhurst School and friendlies with other like-minded clubs soon followed.

These clubs such as Pegasus, Larkfield and Real60 became the founding members of the Medway & Maidstone league playing small-sided football for under 8/9.

The year of training and friendlies paid dividends as our first under 8 teams won there league comfortably and carried on these winning ways until at under 14 they joined Lordswood in the Kent League. Every year more boys have followed we now run teams from under 7 to under 18.

Club Colours and Logo

Our first kit was claret & blue changrng to the now familiar blue and white. A Mr Harry Purser designed our logo using the tree from the word Hurst and amalgamating this with some continental badges to give us the fee with footballs on the branches

Our first Chairman and Manager of our first league team was a Mr Frank Skinner. Frank sowed the seeds for the successful growth of Bredhurst Juniors football club, Organising our first ever tournament in 1995 and when Frank eventually took his team into the Kent league left the club on a sound financial footing with the ability to grow to the size we are today.

The new committee continued the growth of the club and huge thanks must go to all committee members past and present parents and players.
